Auberge du Roc Fourcat is ideally located: in the heart of the Caroux nature park, close to the Héric Gorges, just between the sea and the mountains. The natural environment combines the grandeur of mountain landscapes with water's freshness and pleasures (gorges, mountain streams, rivers).

There are multiple activities available for you to enjoy.

Make use of your stay with us to

• travel the green path (just across from the hotel): 35 km by bicycle, foot or horse This is the former rail bed dating from 1858 that ran in Hérault's Hauts Cantons. This path crosses some ten municipalities: it is an occasion to discover these villages and the natural setting that surrounds them. Take advantage to stop in Olargues, one of the most beautiful villages in France.

• Hike along the pedestrian foot paths and the mule paths

• Visit the Héric Gorges. The path follows the Héric mountain stream which flows between spectacular rocks. The walk (up to four hours of hiking, round-trip) will lead you to the hamlet of Héric. On the program: Swimming, walking, and relaxation.

• Go canoeing or kayaking on the Orb, near the bridge of Tarassac. Introduction, mastery, and discovery of nautical travel

• Get some exercise going canyoning and spelunking

• Visit the caves of Devèze and the cave of Labeil

• Fish in the rivers (Orb, Jaur)

• Try your luck at seeing wild sheep on the Caroux mountain. You may even consider hunting the sheep with a guide .

• Walk through the countryside and discover the Saint Chinian Vineyard, the Lakeside Road

• Go rock climbing
